Everything the AI can build into your strategy

This is the actual toolkit — every indicator, signal type, and rule the AI agent draws from when it turns your plain-English idea into a real quantstrat strategy. Nothing on this page is a mockup; it's generated from the same tool definitions the agent calls.

Indicators

Every indicator is a thin, faithful wrapper around the TTR technical-analysis library — the same functions used in professional R-based quant research, not a simplified re-implementation.

Trend & moving averages (11)
SMA
Simple Moving Average -- the unweighted mean of price (or any series) over N periods, the baseline every other average is compared against.
EMA
Exponential Moving Average -- weights recent observations more heavily than a simple average, so it reacts faster to new price action.
WMA
Weighted Moving Average -- applies configurable weights across the lookback window, by default favoring the most recent bars.
DEMA
Double Exponential Moving Average -- a generalized double-EMA built for lower lag than a standard EMA or SMA.
ZLEMA
Zero-Lag EMA -- offsets the input before smoothing to strip out much of the lag a normal EMA carries.
HMA
Hull Moving Average -- built from weighted averages to stay smooth while responding faster than most moving averages.
ALMA
Arnaud Legoux Moving Average -- Gaussian-filter based, puts less weight on the most recent bars to reduce overshoot.
EVWMA
Elastic Volume-Weighted Moving Average -- the averaging period itself adapts to trading volume.
VWAP
Volume-Weighted Average Price -- average price weighted by volume over N periods.
VWMA
Volume-Weighted Moving Average -- a weighted moving average where each bar's own trading volume sets its weight.
GMMA
Guppy Multiple Moving Average -- two ribbons of moving averages (short- and long-term) that flag a changing trend when they intersect.
Momentum & oscillators (15)
RSI
Relative Strength Index -- speed and magnitude of recent price moves on a 0-100 scale, the classic overbought/oversold gauge.
MACD
Moving Average Convergence/Divergence -- the most widely used price oscillator, a fast moving average compared against a slow one.
Stochastic Oscillator
Relates each period's close to its High/Low trading range over N periods.
SMI
Stochastic Momentum Index -- relates the close to the midpoint of the High/Low range, rather than the range itself.
ROC
Rate of Change -- the percentage (or log) change of a series over N periods, a standard momentum building block.
Momentum
The raw price difference over N periods -- simpler than ROC, which returns a percentage instead of a raw difference.
CCI
Commodity Channel Index -- relates current price to its average over N periods to flag starting and ending trends.
CMO
Chande Momentum Oscillator -- a modified RSI that divides net movement by total movement.
TRIX
Triple-smoothed exponential oscillator measuring rate of change, with an optional signal line.
Ultimate Oscillator
Combines buying pressure and true range across three different lookback periods.
Williams %R
Compares the current close to the highest high and lowest low over N periods.
KST
Know Sure Thing -- sums several smoothed rate-of-change calculations into one broad momentum read.
TDI
Trend Detection Index -- measures the direction and consistency of price moves over N periods.
DPO
Detrended Price Oscillator -- strips out trend to highlight cycles and overbought/oversold swings.
CTI
Ehlers Correlation Trend Indicator -- correlates price against an ideal trend line of a chosen slope.
Trend strength (3)
ADX
Average Directional Index (Welles Wilder) -- measures how strongly a market is trending, from High/Low/Close.
Aroon
Identifies emerging trends by measuring how long it has been since the highest high and lowest low occurred.
VHF
Vertical Horizontal Filter -- separates trending markets from choppy, range-bound ones.
Volatility & range (5)
ATR
Average True Range -- the standard volatility measure, built from the true range of High/Low/Close.
True Range
The bare, unsmoothed range measure that ATR is built from.
Chaikin Volatility
Measures the rate of change of the trading range (the High-Low spread).
Volatility estimator
Rolling volatility via six estimators: close-to-close, Garman-Klass, Parkinson, Rogers-Satchell, Garman-Klass/Yang-Zhang, and Yang-Zhang.
DVI
DV Intermediate Oscillator -- a smooth momentum/trend read combining smoothed returns and the up/down-day ratio.
Volume-based (7)
OBV
On Balance Volume -- cumulative volume that adds on up closes and subtracts on down closes.
Chaikin A/D
Accumulation/Distribution -- tracks money flowing into or out of a security using price and volume together.
CLV
Close Location Value -- where the close sits within the day's High-Low range, from -1 to +1.
CMF
Chaikin Money Flow -- volume-weighted buying vs. selling pressure over N periods.
MFI
Money Flow Index -- a volume-weighted oscillator scaled 0-100, similar in spirit to RSI.
EMV
Ease of Movement -- flags days where price moves easily vs. days where it doesn't, using range and volume.
Williams A/D
An accumulation/distribution momentum line that, unlike most volume tools here, doesn't use volume directly.
Bands & channels (4)
Bollinger Bands
A moving average with upper/lower bands set N standard deviations away.
Donchian Channel
Highest high, lowest low, and midpoint over N periods -- the classic Turtle Trading breakout channel.
Keltner Channels
ATR-based volatility envelopes around a moving average.
PBands
Price volatility bands with optional smoothing and centering to cut down high-frequency noise.
Directional & reversal (3)
Parabolic SAR
Stop and Reverse -- a trailing stop level that assumes the position is always in the market.
SNR
Signal-to-Noise Ratio -- directional price movement compared to noise/range, with optional ATR-style smoothing.
ZigZag
Filters out small price changes to highlight the major swings in a trend.
Rolling statistics (building blocks) (12)
Run Sum
Rolling sum over N periods.
Run Min
Rolling minimum over N periods.
Run Max
Rolling maximum over N periods.
Run Mean
Rolling arithmetic mean, usable on any series -- not just price.
Run Median
Rolling median, more outlier-resistant than Run Mean.
Run Covariance
Rolling covariance between two of a symbol's own series (e.g. Close vs. Volume).
Run Correlation
Rolling correlation between two of a symbol's own series.
Run Variance
Rolling variance -- a building block for volatility-scaled position sizing.
Run SD
Rolling standard deviation -- the most common volatility-scaling building block.
Run MAD
Rolling median/mean absolute deviation -- a robust, outlier-resistant volatility measure.
Wilder Sum
Welles Wilder's smoothed running total, the accumulation method underlying ADX/ATR/RSI.
Run Percent Rank
Rolling percentile rank of the current value within its moving window.
Pairs trading (1)
Pair Ratio + Bollinger Bands
Computes the price ratio between two symbols and Bollinger Bands on that ratio in one step -- the dedicated pairs-trading building block.
Cross-symbol & relative strength (2)
RollSFM
Rolling alpha, beta, and R-squared of a symbol's returns against a benchmark you choose (e.g. a stock's rolling beta vs. SPY) -- for market-relative filters and factor-style strategies.
Growth
A cumulative growth curve rebased to 1.0 at the start of the backtest, optionally locked to an explicit other symbol -- built for "is Symbol A outperforming Symbol B" relative-strength comparisons.

Signals

Signals turn indicators and price data into a yes/no condition the strategy can act on — the logic between "here's the RSI" and "buy now."

Crossover
Fires only on the exact bar two series cross -- e.g. a 20-day SMA crossing above a 50-day SMA. True for one bar only, not the whole time one is above the other.
Comparison
Compares two series on every bar (greater than, less than, equal, or the opposite side) -- true for the entire stretch the condition holds, not just the crossing point.
Threshold
Tests one series against a fixed number -- e.g. RSI below 30, or CCI above 100. Can optionally fire only on the first bar that crosses the threshold.
Formula
A logical expression combining indicators, price data, and other signals -- e.g. "RSI < 30 AND Close > SMA200" -- for conditions that need more than a single comparison.
Peak / bottom
Detects local peaks or troughs in a series, for strategies built around swing highs and lows rather than a fixed threshold.
Timestamp
Fires at a specific time of day or on a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) -- for strategies that trade on the clock or calendar rather than price.

Rules & orders

Rules connect signals to real trading decisions — when to enter, when to exit, how to size the order, and what kind of order to place.

Rule types
Entry
Opens a new long or short position when its signal fires.
Exit
Closes an existing position when its signal fires.
Risk
Cancels open orders in response to a signal (a "revoke" rule) -- for invalidating a pending order before it fills.
Rebalance
Adjusts a position to a target percentage of equity on a recurring schedule, optionally gated by a signal.
Chain
Attaches automatically to a parent entry -- how stop-losses, take-profits, and trailing stops get wired to the trade that triggered them.
Order types
Market
Fills at the next available price.
Limit
Fills only at a specified price or better.
Stop-limit
Becomes a limit order once a trigger price is reached.
Stop-trailing
A stop that follows price by a fixed amount or percentage -- the basis for every trailing-stop rule.
Iceberg
Splits a larger order into smaller visible slices.
Ready-made entry, exit & stop rules
Common trade-management patterns the agent can attach directly to a position, including trailing stops chained to their parent entry.
Long entry
Long exit
Short entry
Short exit
Long stop-loss
Long take-profit
Long trailing stop
Short stop-loss
Short take-profit
Short trailing stop
Position limits
Caps on maximum and minimum position size, long and short, so a strategy can't size itself beyond what you intended.
Scheduled rebalancing
Rebalances a position back to a target percentage of equity on a recurring schedule (daily to yearly), optionally gated by a signal.
